ScrapFIT workouts #25 and #26

First workout #26:
For this workout I want you to dress up your LO, card or altered art. Use your bling, your sparkle and your shine! Also use some black since The Little Black Dress Kit Club is our sponsor.

Here's my take on this challenge:

My daughter Leia, all dressed up ready for school when we lived in Iowa. It was the first snow day of the season. She looks so lovely in her new jacket with the snow falling all around her...ooh la la so beautiful!

I used some of that fabulous swirly BLING for Jolee in black. Flower from Petaloo, silver swirl bling from Prima, and Ooh la la title is from my old stash it's a Heidi Swapp product called Silhouettes.

Here's another close up of the Prima bling and Ooh la la title.

The "Beautiful" letters are from Cosmo Cricket line called High Noon. I thought it went well with the Bo Bunny papers called Mama-Razzi.

Journaling spot is part of my old stash from My Minds Eye called Daily Dose. I used a white sharpie to write on the black board...looks just like chalk, doesn't it?

ScrapFit Workout #25:
"WET-n-WILD" for this workout you need to use mist, paint, stickles, ink---any or all of them!! For an added twist I want you to get some paper wet, create something with it and than use it in your LO. Example—make a flower, fold it, pleat it, ect.

So here's my take on the challenge:

I used some old tracing paper I had, wet it with Blue and Green Glimmer Mist, crumbled it, ripped it, and stuck it down with Mod Podge to give it a water effect like the photo.

Photo info: This is my daughter Tess when she was 5, when we were on vacation to Florida. It was a perfect lazy day of summer photo, sitting in the water at Lake Blue soaking in the sun and cooling off in the water. This was one of the most relaxing time for our whole family. Miss Florida weather so much.

Close up of the under water scene, The fish are from K & Company, the sea weed I cut out from my Silhouette Die Cutter, and the bubble dots are from Cloud 9. I love the water look of the tracing paper here.

The blue glittery swirls are from Jolee stickers, All that Bling.

Hope you enjoy my lastest layouts for ScrapFit. Be sure to check it out to see what workout we're on so you can enter the challenge thread.

Going back in time to some photo in Iowa

Naughty Princess in Training
I just loved the new Princess Monkey that Samantha Walker made for Silhouette...had to use it on a page! Isn't she sooo cute!!!

The frame, arrow, and border strip is from Silhouette too. I misted the frame with Wheatfield from Tattered Angels and added foil in the circle to make a mirror. With the border strip; I took the leftover pieces and popped them up with foam tape for a 3D effect.

Journaling: On your first B'day we bought you a "Sherk Princess Chair" and a "My 1st Baby Doll." I thought for sure that you would love the baby doll more then the chair, but you proved me wrong! And every time I'd put your baby in your Princess chair, you'd throw her out and down to the ground then take your righteous place on your Throne! Lily at One.

New Cowgirl in Town

Tess was dressed up as a cowgirl for Western Day at her old school. She was in 2nd grade.

The cowgirl on the horse and fringe are made by using the Silhouette. Papers are from DCWV: Penny Lane collection

Trick I've learned: used Word Processor to make a text book selecting a background color that will match your page and print on Presentation paper. The colors comes out much better on this type of paper then regular cardstock. The I cut out using my circle coluzzle...yes I still use it! LOL
