Let the games begin!

I love me some challenges! And now that Survivor is in full swing over at Tallyscrapper.com I will have several weeks of challenges to compete in. There's 2 teams playing for Bragging rights of being the best scrapbookers on the face of this planet...well at least at TallyScrapper

There's Team Russell, aka "the dark side" and then there's the BEST TEAM, Team ROB, known simply as the "BEST TEAM!" LOL

So each Wednesday we receive a challenge for the contest and our first challenge is this...

Challenge #1:

It's a desert island...Your photos are the island and this layout requires alot of white space!

Everyone is cramped together on the island so your layout must have a picture of 2 or more people.

Colors: TAN/Brown  for sand and BLUE to represent the water.

On Survivor everything is put to use this layout needs to have at least 2 staples and a piece of recycled scrap packaging.

Requirements Summary:
Must have WHITE SPACE or NEGATIVE SPACE

Must have at least one Photo with MORE than one person in it.

Must have Tan/Brown AND Blue!

Must have at least 2 staples and a piece of recycled scrapbook packaging.

So here is my layout using the above instructions.
Center Stage

This is my daughter Leia in her first modeling gig. She loved being center stage! LOL

These 2 photos show the close up of the staples I used on the ribbon trim. I stapled in between each flourish. And the recycled packaging I used was Prima. I sewed some fabric to the packaging to make a mat. I also used some more Prima packaging (the blue scallops) on the side of the mat and photos.
I adore these letters from Sassafras...they have a bit of glitter on them which gives them a little "POP" effect.
This chandelier die cut was made from my Silhouette machine. I out a little bit of glitter on the flames for show.

So if your like me and love challenges hop on over to Tallyscrapper and play along or watch as the 2 teams battle it out each week. See ya at Tally!

Sparkle and Shine

My latest layout using up old border stickers around the edge of my cardstock. I can't believe it only took me 30 mins to create this layout...which is unheard of for me!

I just love Glitter and all things shiney!!

I just love the effect of the green glittered tulle behind this photo. I wish I could
remember where I got it from but can't at the moment. I want to think it either
came for a TallyScrapper kit or another kit club that I was a member of a long
time ago. Anyway, I love using up my scraps and this was a perfect item to
show some sparkle and shine. I also used glittery border stickers and stars
that I attached with my mini stapler that I got when we lived in Italy years and
years ago...sorry Tim Holtz I thought of the tiny attacher before you! LOL

This is my daughter Lily doing her daily chore of brushing her pearly whites.

Close up the layers of border stickers.
